Week's Top 10 Solo Queue

Welcome to Flavor of the Month's Top 10 Picks and Win Rates for solo queue featuring general stats and Diamond Elo in particular. Bear in mind that these stats have a 2 day delay (thus barely featuring the League of Targon) but are obtained from Riot the same way other statistic sites do.

This is an experimental feature for Flavor of the Month, and one we'd like to make permanent, so if you have any comments/suggestions/requests please feel free to do so. One thing we're considering is an Excel document (Excel isn't that pretty but there's a lot of work to this) that you can download feature all champ's stats for the last X weeks (probably up to 4)

Click bellow to read into this week's solo queue top picks and winrates.

SOLO QUEUE TENDENCY COMMENTS

With the implementation of the PreSeason Patch, there seems to be a rise of power for the tank role, lead by Rammus. Be it toplane, support or jungle, the gold income has allowed this champion to become unkillable a lot faster, with or without Relic Shield and it's upgrades. Taric too seems to be on the rising tide.
Furthermore, assassins have become less favored when compared to utility pushing mages with high burst because of how much harder it has become to gank them (and the duotop Targon interaction), Ziggs being the current bet (although there's statistical stability on Orianna and Lux). A mage that seems to be on the rise as well is Evelynn mid lane, not only because of how much of a beatdown the jungle now delivers to her jungling counterpart, but also because of how visibility has changed and Vision Wards are now visible so require a either really strategic positioning for Evelynn to be detected, or a flat out placement that serves as a warning (albeit risky move for various reasons).

Up until now it seems that, albeit the patch wanted to favor carry-type junglers, it has overall brought tanky utility junglers to the spotlight. However, already nerfs to this item have been announced: will they hit mage supports even harder or will they make a return? Follow us through the next two weeks to accompany these evolutions!
